Syder slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat. Syder throws a shot to the body.
#KD# Syder lands a big right hand that sends Smith crashing to the mat! Syder stays standing though and waves Smith back to his feet!#ROC# Smith is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Syder leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Syder finish him? Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Syder swivels and escapes. Justin Syder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arenas Smith. Smith misses with a takedown and Syder scores with a counter punch that sends Smith to the canvas! Syder smells blood - he's punishing Smith with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Smith has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

#R1# A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tee is defended easily by Smith.#TD2# Tee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tee moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Smith can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith tries to improve position but can't. Tee taking a breather here. Smith tries to bench press Tee off him but Tee keeps the position. #T1# Tee in side control lands a decent elbow. Tee throws a strike aimed at the side of Smith's head but Smith avoids it well. Smith is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Tee lands some shots froms side control. Smith is being controlled here. Tee looks up at the clock and then as Smith takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tee smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tee lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tee creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Tee keeps moving and retains side control. Smith wants to get back to his feet but Tee drags him back down. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# Tee misses with a looping left. Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rex Tee. Well Tee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smith tries to advance to mount but can't. Zhao can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith controlling the position. #SUB2# Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #T1# Smith takes a little break here. Zhao wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#SU2# Smith decides to take the fight back to the feet. #CL2# Smith instigates a clinch. Zhao is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Smith is defending well. Zhao tries to pull guard but Smith forces him back to his feet, against the cage.#TD2# Smith lands a takedown into guard.
Zhao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T2# Zhao is trying to control the position but Smith postures up. Zhao will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Smith advances position into side control! Zhao goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward. Zhao shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense. Zhao shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zhao on his heels. He'll look to pass Zhao's guard now, I'm sure. Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zhao with a hook. Zhao tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zhao somewhat. Smith tries for a takedown but Zhao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#CL# Zhao rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Zhao. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Xin Zhao will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
