Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Crystal Henry and Grigor Khamidov. Henry kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is fight song . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Crystal Henry ! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Grigor Khamidov! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Henry shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khamidov defends it nicely. Henry instigates a clinch. Henry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Khamidov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Henry is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Khamidov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Crystal Henry . That's going to take a lot out of him. Khamidov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Henry avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Henry manages to pull guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Khamidov looking for a sweep. Not yet Khamidov, not yet. Khamidov being controlled here, momentarily. Khamidov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Henry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Khamidov is trying to maintain the position but Henry is very close to passing his half guard. Henry controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henry is pressing down on Khamidov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Khamidov is holding on for now.

Henry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henry has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Henry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. This is a sustained period of stalling by Henry .
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Khamidov wants to control but Henry is having none of it. Henry content just to control the position here. Henry continues to hold on tight.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Henry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Khamidov for as long as he can get away with. Henry continues to stall. Khamidov tries to reverse the position but Henry maintains control.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Khamidov wants to control but Henry is having none of it. Khamidov tries to reverse the position but Henry maintains control. Henry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Henry prevents Khamidov from getting the reversal. Henry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Henry avoids the attempt from Khamidov to control. Henry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Khamidov tries to reverse the position but Henry maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Henry takes the fight on points by 5 to 0. A relieved looking Crystal Henry thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |

#R1##TD2# Velazquez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Khamidov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Velazquez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Khamidov is looking to stand up but Velazquez isn't so interested in that idea. Velazquez controls from within his opponent's guard. Khamidov wants to get back to his feet but Velazquez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velazquez controlling from the top position. Velazquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T1# Velazquez trying to control but Khamidov is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Velazquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Khamidov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Velazquez manages to pass to side control. #ES2# Khamidov kicks Velazquez off and gets back to his feet. Khamidov misses with a hook. Velazquez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#TD# Velazquez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Khamidov scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Velazquez manages to mount him!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khamidov is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Velazquez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Velazquez with shots to the head and body - Khamidov looks very uncomfortable down there. Khamidov is trying to stand but he's just given Velazquez his back. Velazquez lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Khamidov hold on?!
Khamidov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Velazquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Khamidov wants to get back to his feet. Velazquez somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. #T3##SUB# Velazquez is persistently looking for the submission but Khamidov is defending it well.
Velazquez lands punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velazquez wants to control but Khamidov is keeping busy. Velazquez punches the canvas rather than the man. #SUB# Khamidov showing good submission defense here.
Khamidov is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. #T4##SUB# Velazquez working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Khamidov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Velazquez has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Khamidov taps out!
