Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Chris Mayo and Jerzy Gajdek. Mayo comes to the cage accompanied by Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. Jerzy Gajdek acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Chris Mayo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Jerzy Gajdek! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Mayo stuffs the takedown. Mayo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. #R1# Ely tries for a takedown but Gajdek sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gajdek tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ely sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gajdek somewhat. Ely goes for a double leg but Gajdek avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gajdek continues to drive forward. Gajdek tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ely defends well and Gajdek ends up having to push Ely into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ely went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Gajdek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ely pinned against the cage. Ely gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Quinten Ely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerzy Gajdek. Ely darts in looking for a takedown but Gajdek gets double underhooks and turns Ely into the cage. Ely throws a right and a left that both miss. Ely slaps away a takedown attempt from Gajdek, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# Ely clinches. Ely tries to roll over but Gajdek keeps him under control. Ely might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Gajdek tries for a takedown but Burke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Burke scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Burke scores with a nice strike. Gajdek tries for a takedown but Burke circles away easily and Burke counters with a low kick, right behind Gajdek 's knee. Ted Burke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerzy Gajdek. Burke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
#ROC# Gajdek is rocked! Gajdek with a poor takedown and Burke counters with a thumping low kick. Gajdek is still on wobbly legs! Can Burke finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gajdek closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burke circles away. It appears Burke was looking to counter with a kick there. Gajdek shoots for a takedown but Burke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gajdek seems to have recovered his senses. Gajdek looks winded! Gajdek shoots in for a takedown but Burke shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Burke scores with a head kick.

Gajdek fails with the takedown and Burke scores with a counter punch that sends Gajdek to the canvas! Burke smells blood - he's punishing Gajdek with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Gajdek has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Gajdek slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#TD2# Gajdek shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nakamura is trying to defend but Gajdek finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.#SUB2# Gajdek is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nakamura sees it coming and defends easily. Nakamura looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Gajdek looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Gajdek. Nakamura scores with a one two! Gajdek had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CL# Nakamura gets in close and instigates a clinch. Come on Nakamura - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
#BC# Nakamura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nakamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gajdek circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gajdek gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nostradamus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gus Nostradamus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerzy Gajdek. Gajdek with a poor takedown and Nostradamus counters with a straight right hand. Gajdek tries for a takedown but Nostradamus circles away easily and Nostradamus counters with a stiff right hand. Nostradamus is breathing heavily.
