Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Thomas Chenepe and Paulo Moreno. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Thomas Chenepe! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Paulo Moreno! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Chenepe misses with a takedown and Moreno counters by clinching up. Moreno drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chenepe pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chenepe closes the distance and clinches. Chenepe prevents a takedown attempt there.
Moreno is trying to trip Chenepe. He has hold of a leg but Chenepe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Moreno persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chenepe (0) vs (2) Moreno Chenepe is trying to keep Moreno in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno sitting in guard here, content to control. Chenepe trying to control the position.
Moreno not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Moreno engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. More stalling from Moreno. Let's hope that Moreno has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Moreno stopping the sweep attempt from Chenepe. Moreno is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've been informed that Moreno has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Moreno is continuing to stall. Chenepe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The adventures of Moreno the control monster continue. Boring.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yet more stalling tactics from Moreno.

Chenepe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Moreno controls the pace.
