Gu misses with a takedown attempt and Gu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #TD2# Gu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Easton is refusing to be controlled, as Gu sits in half guard. Gu lands strikes from half guard. Gu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gu scoring with strikes to the body and head. Easton keeping hold of Gu's head, controlling as best he can. Easton pushes Gu off looking to stand but Gu dives back in and keeps control.
Gu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. #T1# Gu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Easton taking some punishment here, with Gu in his half guard. Gu prevents Easton from improving his position. Gu throwing shots but Easton is blocking nicely. Gu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Michaels takes a step backwards and waves Gu back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT# It looks like Chi Gu has been cut. An inside leg kick lands from Michaels. Both fighters circling a little - Michaels finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Michaels keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Michaels bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Gu looks winded! A kick lands to the mid section there for Michaels. Both fighters circling a little - Michaels finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Michaels lands a leg kick that knocks Gu off balance momentarily.#T1# Gu takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Gu has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Michaels. Michaels scores with a leg kick.

Gu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#SUB2# Starr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Starr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Starr is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gu's shoulder. That is not cool. Gu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Starr has just dragged him back down to the mat.#T1# Gu prevents Starr from moving into mount. Starr trying to control the position but Gu is working away. Starr tries to move to mount but Gu blocks the move with his legs. Gu tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Creed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Creed's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Creed duly obliges. Gu tries for a takedown but Creed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Creed is fending him off so far but Gu persists. Nope, Creed circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chi Gu. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Creed instigates a clinch. Creed prevents the takedown attempt.

Diaz has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Gu throws a strike but Diaz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Gu striking off his back but it's not causing Diaz any problems. Gu keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gu is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gu darts in looking for a takedown but Collins gets double underhooks and turns Gu into the cage. Gu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Collins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gu somewhat. Collins stuffs the takedown. Vince Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chi Gu. Collins shoots in for a double leg but Gu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gu avoids the body shot from Collins.

Not particularly brutal. Gu forces his way into half guard. Gu drops an elbow to the side of Mc Fec's head. Gu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gu is nestled in close to Mc Fec, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gu landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gu thows a huge punch but Mc Fec dodges it nicely.
Gu not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gu misses with a head shot.
