The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Oropeza moves into the clinch.
Preto jumps guard but Oropeza stands there with Preto around his waist. Preto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Preto drops back looking for a leg! Oropeza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oropeza manages to kick Preto off! Preto jumps back into Oropeza's guard.

Oropeza on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oropeza tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oropeza has Preto pulled in close to control his posture.

Preto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Oropeza looking for a sweep. Not yet Oropeza, not yet.
Preto works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Preto is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Oropeza sees it coming and defends easily.
Oropeza trying to control but Preto postures up.
Preto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oropeza does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Preto looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Preto is trying to work for a kimura but Oropeza is defending well.

Preto maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Oropeza could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Preto has cracked it and Oropeza is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Preto!
