#R1# Pope takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Pope misses with a low kick as Tolentino jumps back. Tolentino throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pope stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Pope throws a head kick that misses. No joy there for Tolentino, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pope throws a big counter combination but Tolentino scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Tolentino will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pope thows a leg kick but Tolentino checks it and Tolentino counters with a series of strikes. Pope will be more careful next time no doubt. #T1# Pope dodges the punch combination from Tolentino.
Pope slips under a jab from Tolentino. Pope tries to counter by clinching up but Tolentino breaks away and moves out of range. Donk. Tolentino catches Pope right on the button with a cross. Tolentino fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pope is looking to score with low kicks. Tolentino scores with a sloppy right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tolentino thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pope to his feet! Pope is in big trouble!#ROC2# Pope is rocked! and Wallace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CL# Wallace closes the distance and clinches.#TD# Wallace jumps into guard, dragging Pope to the mat.
Wallace is controlling Pope's posture. Pope tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallace is retaining full guard. Pope wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pope controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pope preventing the sweep. Wallace is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Kalashnikov MMA Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.#T1# Pope trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wallace looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Pope turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Pope counters with a slapping leg kick. Wallace throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pope works his way into full mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Wallace is trying to escape the mount.

Good leg kick by Wallace there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

#CUT2# It looks like Walloping Willy Wallace has been cut. Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Despite the aggression on Pope's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Pope throws a nice inside leg kick. Pope dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wallace. That did some damage! Pope uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wallace.

#R1# Shankariya jabs Pope right on the nose. Pope blinks but takes it well. Nice uppercut lands for Shankariya. That snapped Pope's head back.

Shankariya connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pope's hands. Shankariya misses with an uppercut. Pope saw that one coming. Pope wants to counter the offense by Shankariya and move into the clinch position. Pope uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shankariya. Shankariya bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pope's head. Pope closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Shankariya misses with a looping right. Pope blocks a jab.#T1# Shankariya misses with a hook. Pope ducked under it nicely. Pope walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A big left from Shankariya misses. As Shankariya backs off Pope throws a huge counter combo but Shankariya manages to avoid it all. Shankariya seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Shankariya is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Shankariya thuds his right hand into Pope's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Shankariya throws a shot from downtown. Pope moves away and avoids it.#KD# Shankariya lands a big right hand that sends Pope crashing to the mat! Shankariya stays standing though and waves Pope back to his feet!#CUT# It looks like Mega Pope has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shankariya lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Pope up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Shankariya from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Pope's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pope throws a leg kick that is checked letting Masino counter with a right hand. Pope pivots, looking for a leg kick but Masino is out of range and Pope settles back down. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pope has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Masino keeps the fight on the outside. Masino swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Pope throws a leg kick that is checked and Masino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Masino has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Masino and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A punch lands to the side of Pope 's head but he takes it in his stride. Masino has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pope. Pope closes the distance looking to clinch and Masino counters with a straight punch to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Masino dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pope might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Masino has got the better of the exchanges. He turns his back on Masino, trying to create some distance but Masino rushes him, striking wildly and Pope goes down! The referee tackles Masino into the cage to end the fight! Masino is one violent man!

A chopping leg kick lands by Pope. Pope scores with a nice body kick.
Pope ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pheonix Level seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pope throws a shot from downtown. Level moves away and avoids it. Level fails to land with a series of punches.
Level throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pope dodges the punch combination from Level.
Level throws a right hand that Pope ducks under and follows up with a left that Pope also avoids with ease. Level is breathing heavily. A chopping leg kick lands by Pope. Pope pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pope throws a leg kick which misses Level's front leg but catches the back leg as Level tries to avoid it. Level takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pope lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Pope showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Level.

Stackhouse is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pope misses with a leg kick and Stackhouse counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pope closes the distance looking to clinch and Stackhouse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pope walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Stackhouse throws out a powerful jab. Pope avoids a punch combination nicely.
