#R1# Cup shoots in for a takedown but Baker shows good takedown defense. Baker doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Horrible takedown attempt by Cup or perhaps it was just good defense by Baker, which made it look bad. Cup misses with a takedown attempt and Baker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blue Cup. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cup dives in for a single leg takedown but Baker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Cup shoots in looking for a takedown. Baker tries to sprawl out of it but Cup keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Baker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cup tries for a takedown but Baker circles away easily and Baker counters with a left to the body. Baker throws a body shot but no joy. Cup changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#T1# Cup with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice sprawl there from Baker as Cup shoots in. Baker throws a body shot but no joy. Baker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Cup uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Baker. Cup shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baker defends it nicely. Baker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.#T2# Cup fails with the takedown and Cup takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cup shoots in and drives through. Baker sprawls well. A nice side step and Baker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Cup dives in for a single leg takedown but Baker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A countering left hand to the body from Baker misses. Baker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cup rather than just go for the knockout. Cup has his takedown stuffed and Cup takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT2# It looks like Blue Cup has been cut. Baker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cup shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baker pinned against the cage. Baker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #T3# Baker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.#TD# Cup scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Baker is pushing Cup's head away, looking to escape. Cup manages to hold on to the position though.#SUB# Cup is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Baker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cup tries to move to mount but Baker blocks the move with his legs. #T4# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baker pushes Cup away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cup gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.#SU# Cup stands up. Cup fails to land the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baker leaves Cup with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Baker feints the counter takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nicely done! Steph Baker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This has been an exciting period of action! Cup shoots in but no luck this time. #T2# Cup shoots in but Baker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Blue Cup is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cup pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baker! But no joy. Blue Cup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cup. Baker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cup with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker counters with a left to the body. Cup looks for a takedown but Baker sprawls well. Baker jabs Cup to the body, keeping him at a distance.#T3# Cup tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cup somewhat. Cup shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baker sprawls well. Baker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cup gets slowly back to his feet. Baker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cup moves away. Cup shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baker defends it nicely.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#CL# Cup moves into range and clinches up with Baker. Baker wants to break the clinch but can't.

#TD# Cup has Baker pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cup pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Baker tumbling to the mat - Cup dives into Baker's guard. Cup is standing up over Baker. Baker looks to escape but Cup dives into side control.

Steph Baker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Blue Cup's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A jab from Baker finds it's way through Cup's defenses. #KD2# Baker waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Cup. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Cup to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
#ROC2# Cup is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Baker stands and throws Cup's legs to the side, diving into side control. Oh Cup is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SU2# Baker has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cup is holding his hands too far apart here. Baker throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Cup is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steph Baker! A very excited looking Steph Baker made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. The defeated Blue Cup had this to say: 'That wasn't fun.'.

#R1# Baker takes a swing at Abedi's ribcage but misses. #TD2# Abedi gets the takedown into side control. Baker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Abedi is controlling him well. The strikes coming from Abedi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Baker seems a little lost for a moment, as Abedi dominates the positioning. Abedi prevents Baker from escaping the position. Baker is letting Abedi control him for a moment. Abedi working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Baker's face as Abedi controls the position. Baker parries the strikes from Abedi easily there. Abedi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Baker to escape.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #T1# Sloppy strikes there by Abedi. Baker avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Abedi. #SUB2# Abedi is trying to get an arm triangle but Baker is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abedi scoring with punches from side control. Baker tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Abedi somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Abedi has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Baker. Abedi biding his time, looking for the opening.
#T2##SUB2# Abedi tightening his grip on Baker, looking for the choke. #SUB2# Abedi has managed to slip his arm under Baker's chin. This could be all over... yep, Baker is tapping out! Submission win for Abedi.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Papy Abedi! In his post fight interview, Papy Abedi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
