#R1# Goldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zimbardo tries to avoid it but Goldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zimbardo to the ground. Zimbardo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Goldo blocks a head kick by Zimbardo.
#TD# Goldo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Goldo lands in his opponent's guard. Goldo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zimbardo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zimbardo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Zimbardo keeping moving, preventing Goldo from controlling successfully. Zimbardo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zimbardo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# Zimbardo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #T1# Zimbardo looking to control and managing it successfully. Goldo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Zimbardo controlling the pace for now. Goldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Goldo tries to hold on but Zimbardo postures up. Zimbardo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Goldo wants to control but Zimbardo is having none of it. Zimbardo looking to control and managing it successfully. Zimbardo is continuing to stall.#T3# Goldo tries to reverse the position but Zimbardo maintains control. Zimbardo controlling the pace for now. The adventures of Zimbardo the control monster continue. Boring.#T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Let's hope that Zimbardo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Goldo is working to get back to half guard.
Zimbardo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#T5# Goldo working to try and regain half guard.
Zimbardo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Goldo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Goldo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. #SU2# Zimbardo stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Goldo tries for a takedown but Zimbardo circles away easily enabling Zimbardo to counter with a crisp jab. #T6# Jab, jab by Zimbardo - just one landing. Zimbardo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.#KD2# Zimbardo lands a big head kick that sends Goldo tumbling to the mat! Zimbardo takes a step backwards and waves Goldo back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Goldo is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A thudding body kick lands there by Zimbardo!
Oh Goldo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Goldo is breathing heavily. Goldo walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Zimbardo swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bruce Zimbardo!

#R1# Stark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Goldo avoids a punch combination nicely.
A punch combination from Stark misses. Goldo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stark avoids the head kick by Goldo.
Stark throws a right hand that Goldo ducks under and follows up with a left that Goldo also avoids with ease. Goldo goes for a double leg but Stark avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stark continues to drive forward. Goldo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stark defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stark throws a nice looking combination but Goldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Stark leaves Goldo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dale Goldo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stark throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Stark does no damage. #T1# Goldo throws a leg kick but Stark moved away.#TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Goldo. Goldo trying to control the action but Stark is working from the bottom. Goldo controls the position.#SUB# Goldo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stark has escaped the position, nice work there. Stark wants to get back to his feet.#T2# Stark tries to get back to half guard but can't.#SUB# Goldo has hold of Stark's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stark tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Goldo cranks the arm and Stark screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stark, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
