We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Anderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. #R1# Williamson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively. Anderson wants to counter with a clinch but Williamson pushes him away. Williamson with a poor takedown and Anderson counters with a straight right hand.#CUT2# It looks like Carl Williamson has been cut. Williamson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Anderson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#KD2# Anderson cracks Williamson with a big right hand and Williamson goes down!#ROC2# Williamson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Williamson pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage. #SU2# Anderson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Williamson goes for a double leg but Anderson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anderson continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Williamson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williamson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Anderson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Anderson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Williamson takes a shot right to the bread basket. Williamson is breathing heavily.#T1# Anderson ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Williamson's jaw. A right hand to the body from Anderson.
Fiddlesticks jumps guard but Anderson stands there with Fiddlesticks around his waist. Fiddlesticks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Anderson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Anderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fiddlestickss head. Fiddlesticks tries to pull guard but Anderson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Anderson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Fiddlesticks is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fiddlesticks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Arn Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramses Fiddlesticks. Anderson working some nice short punches in the clinch. #R1##CL# Lubodov tries to keep at a distance but Anderson has taken the fight into the clinch. Lubodov tries to stall but Anderson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Lubodov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Anderson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lubodov backwards. Anderson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Anderson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lubodov swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Lubodov wants to get back to striking at distance but Anderson won't allow it.

#R1# ME blocks a jab.#TD# Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard. Anderson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Anderson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. ME avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #SUB2# ME is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Anderson frees his head nicely. Oh but ME has switched to an armbar! Anderson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
