Alexander scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Janikowski fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Janikowski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown but Janikowski shows good takedown defense. #T1# Janikowski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Janikowski drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Alexander defends it well. Janikowski shoots in looking for a takedown. Alexander tries to sprawl out of it but Janikowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alexander manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Alexander fails to land with a series of punches.

Rider looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alexander is fending him off so far but Rider persists. Nope, Alexander circles away and we're back to standing. #R1# Hernandez jabs Alexander right on the nose. Alexander blinks but takes it well. Hernandez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alexander sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hernandez somewhat. Hernandez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hernandez shoots in looking for a takedown but Alexander manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hernandez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Alexander appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Alexander fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
