Carter gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gaia is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Carter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Gaia has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

After the fight, Mick Carter was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Gaia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chaney manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gaia has Chaney in his guard.#REVR#
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gaia can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Roderick Chaney will probably get the nod.
