#R1##TD# Jewel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jewel lands in his opponent's guard. Jewel wants to control from the top but Nevil keeps moving. #SUB# Jewel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Nevil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jewel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Jewel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jewel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jewel won't allow Nevil to get back to his feet. Jewel throwing strikes from guard but Nevil blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jewel trying to control the position from guard on top but Nevil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nevil is looking to stand up but Jewel isn't so interested in that idea. Jewel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. Nevil wants to stand and escape but Jewel is having none of it. Nevil is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jewel wants to control from the top but Nevil keeps moving. Nevil is looking to stand up but Jewel isn't so interested in that idea. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nevil throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nevil throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jewel on the side of the head. Jab, jab by Nevil - just one landing. Jewel ducks right into an uppercut from Nevil. Jewel shoots in but no luck this time. Nevil throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nevil fails with an attempt to clinch.
Denile Jewel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jewel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nevil's waist but Nevil gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jewel off to one side. Nevil feints with a jab and clips Jewel right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Jewel is sent crashing into the canvas and Nevil leaps in for the kill! Jewel tries to get to his feet but Nevil is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Jewel is in need of a savior and steps in!

#TD# Jewel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blazed did well to prevent Jewel getting side control. Jewel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #SUB# Jewel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jewel throwing shots but Blazed is blocking nicely. Jewel slips a nice elbow through Blazed's hands, connecting with Blazed's forehead.
