#R1# Cares misses with a takedown enabling Simmons to counter with a crisp jab. Simmons lunges at Cares with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cares's hand. Cares shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Simmons counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cares takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#TD# Cares shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Simmons is refusing to be controlled, as Cares sits in half guard. Cares not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cares throwing shots but Simmons is blocking nicely. Cares scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cares will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. This has been an exciting period of action! Simmons punching from the bottom.

#R1# Kokorin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kokorin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Simmons lands an overhand right. Kokorin throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Kokorin fails in his attempt to clinch. Simmons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kokorin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Darren Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kokorin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Simmons avoids it really well and circles away. Kokorin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kokorin shoots for a double leg takedown but Simmons sprawls well. He's pushed Kokorin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Simmons ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kokorin moves away. Simmons misses with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Simmons connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kokorin. Kokorin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.#CUT# It looks like Yuri Kokorin has been cut. Simmons digs a good body shot into Kokorin's ribs. Simmons scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kokorin darts in looking for a takedown but Simmons gets double underhooks and turns Kokorin into the cage. Darren Simmons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuri Kokorin. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kokorin.#T1# Simmons scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kokorin looks winded! Simmons throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kokorin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kokorin drops his hands momentarily and Simmons takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kokorin closes the distance but Simmons moves to the side and Simmons counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Kokorin falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

#R1# Some wild striking there from Simmons.
Henderson throws a body shot but no joy. Henderson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Simmons lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Henderson misses the shot to the body. Simmons lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Henderson swings for the body but Simmons moves out of range.
Simmons looks to land a combination but Henderson avoids it well. A little feinted left hand from Henderson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Henderson throws a nice looking combination but Simmons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.#KD2# Simmons drops Henderson with a beautiful combination! Henderson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Simmons is looking for the KO!#ROC2# Henderson is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Benson Henderson has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simmons is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Henderson hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

#R1# Simmons throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dess on the side of the head. Simmons misses with an uppercut. Dess saw that one coming. Simmons jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Simmons feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Desss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Simmons misses with a body shot.
#TD2# Dess shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Simmons napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simmons pushes Dess away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dess gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dess working the head and body with strikes. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Dess has eaten all the pies! Simmons is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dess has just dragged him back down to the mat. Dess throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Dess looks winded! Dess looks up at the clock and then as Simmons takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dess smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Simmons is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Simmons parries the strikes from Dess easily there. Dess is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Simmons to escape.
Simmons is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dess is controlling him well. Simmons trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.#T1# Dess working the ground and pound. Dess landing a few strikes. Simmons takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Simmons is pushing Dess's head away, looking to escape. Dess manages to hold on to the position though. Dess has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The strikes coming from Dess are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Simmons is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Dess lands a decent elbow from side control. #T2# Simmons is trying to buck Dess off. Dess throwing shots but missing, from side control. He's simply no match for Dess on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dess creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Simmons sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Simmons avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dess. Simmons is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Dess shoots in looking for a takedown. Simmons tries to sprawl out of it but Dess keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simmons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #T3# Dess misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Simmons wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Simmons connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dess. Dess circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
