Nolan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Smalls looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Smalls misses with the body kick#TD# so Nolan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nolan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nolan won't allow Smalls to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nolan stays in close to Smalls's body and controls the position. #T1# Smalls throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Smalls tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Smalls has given up his back. Will we see Nolan going for some submissions?
#T3# Nolan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Nolan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Nolan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Nolan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
A punch combination from Smalls misses. #TD# Nolan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Smalls wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nolan manages to pass to side control. #REVB# Nolan drops an elbow to the side of Smalls's head. Franco looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#BC# Nolan breaks from the clinch.
#TD2# Franco closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Franco scores with punches from side control. Nolan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Franco's best efforts. Nolan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nolan. Nolan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Nolan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Franco keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Nolan wants to stand but Franco has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Trust trying to control the position from guard on top but Nolan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trust preventing the sweep. Trust really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nolan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trust trying to control but Nolan is working from the bottom. Trust might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nolan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Trust sitting in guard, not really doing much. Scott Nolan dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. #R3##TD2# Trust closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nolan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Trust wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Trust laying and praying for a moment but Nolan takes advantage and regains half guard. Trust wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nolan keeps working. Trust throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trust stalling. #SUB2# Trust is working for a kimura but Nolan is defending it quite comfortably.
#T1# Nolan wants to get back to full guard. Trust takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Trust is trying to control. Nolan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Trust tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nolan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Trust working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SUB2# Trust is trying to work for a kimura but Nolan is defending well.
Trust takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Trust stalling away here and it's allowed Nolan to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nolan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Trust stands and throws Nolan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Trust scores with a couple of short elbows. Trust throws a strike aimed at the side of Nolan's head but Nolan avoids it well. Trust is looking to take a break and control but Nolan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trust blocks the strikes from Nolan.
#T3# Trust trying to control the action but Nolan is working from the bottom. Nolan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Trust off and has taken his back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nolan is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Nolan is not going to allow Trust to sit and survive in this position. Jacob Trust has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Scott Nolan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Trust tries to escape but Nolan has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
And that's the end of the fight! Scott Nolan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nolan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# Nevzlin moves in looking to clinch but Nolan pushes him off. Nevzlin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.#CUT2# It looks like Scott Nolan has been cut. Nolan wants to clinch up but Nevzlin keeps it at a distance.#TD# Nevzlin gets caught flat footed, as Nolan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Nolan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nolan stays in close to Nevzlin's body and controls the position. Nevzlin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nolan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
