Mcgregor dives in for a single leg takedown but Ryback sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ryback or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcgregor, which made it look bad.
Mcgregor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ryback paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ryback was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ryback dives in and grabs Mcgregor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcgregor pushes down on Ryback's head and hops out.
Mcgregor tries to clinch up but Ryback circles away and keeps his distance.
Mcgregor throws a sloppy head kick and Ryback moves out of range easily.
Mcgregor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ryback sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
