Garcia tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Francis defends well and Garcia ends up having to push Francis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nathanial Francis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Garcia. An inside leg kick from Francis misses. Nice takedown defense from Francis. #R1# Francis shoots in looking for a takedown. Caralho tries to sprawl out of it but Francis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Caralho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Caralho connects with a right that clearly hurt Francis. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Caralho proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Francis collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Francis pulls Teller in close to his closed guard and prevents Teller from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Francis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#SU2# Teller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Valdez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. As Valdez tries to get set, Francis tries to push him back and clinch up but Valdez manages to avoid the attempt. Nathanial Francis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Valdez. Valdez tries to close the distance and clinch but Francis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdez wants to clinch. Francis wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
