Akkarat connects with a body shot that sends Weiss's belly button to the back.
Akkarat goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Akkarat looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Weiss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akkarat tries to avoid it but Weiss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akkarat to the ground. Akkarat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD2#
Akkarat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Weiss napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Akkarat wants to stand but Weiss has his arm trapped.
Weiss gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Weiss gets back to full guard.
Weiss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Akkarat is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Weiss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Weiss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Akkarat has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
