Gracie shoots in but Schmidt avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schmidt swivels and escapes.
Schmidt lands a nice looking body shot.
Schmidt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A decent looking cross lands there for Schmidt.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Schmidt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for River Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD#
Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Schmidt to the mat! Schmidt manages to get full guard.

Gracie needs to keep his hands up - Schmidt had a free shot at his head there.
Schmidt lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Schmidt tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Schmidt sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Schmidt lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gracie backs up against the cage.

Gracie tries to get into range but Schmidt steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Gracie! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Schmidt scores the big KO victory!

Danky scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gracie in his tracks. #CUT#
It looks like River Gracie has been cut.
Danky circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gracie to the canvas! Gracie doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Danky keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dom Danky!
A relieved looking Dom Danky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

River Gracie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Paulo Gracie is holding on to half guard well.
River Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
