A telegraphed right hand from Neil misses the target. A big right from Neil misses. Neil misses with an uppercut. Neil misses with a hook. Neil throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Badger dodges the punch combination from Neil.
A punch lands to the side of Neil 's head but he takes it in his stride. Badger throws a one two combo.
Badger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neil connects with a right hand. Badger shakes it off. Badger scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Neil takes one to the side of the head.

He must have been working on that in the gym. Neil waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Maher. Maher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Neil scores with a hook. Neil slips a straight right by Maher. Neil avoids a low kick by using good footwork. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circle momentarily. Neil darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Maher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Neil sprawls well. Neil wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maher gets slowly back to his feet. Neil appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Maher tries to score with a low kick but Neil moves his leg out of the way. #R1##TD# Neil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Taj seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Taj's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Taj has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taj wants to pass the guard but Neil is keeping the position.#T1# Taj controlling from the top position. Further stalling from Taj.#SU# Taj gets to his feet. Neil looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Neil lands a two punch combo.
