Edward changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Edward shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side. Penn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Edward fails with a takedown attempt. Penn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Edward avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edward's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Edward duly obliges. Edward fails with a takedown attempt from distance. BJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Edward. Edward throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Edward was covering up waiting for the punch and Sluce finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sluce pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Edward is keeping the position for now. #ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Edward manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.#BC# Edward breaks from the clinch.
Edward looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sluce wants to counter the offense by Edward and move into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Edward shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Edward showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sluce tries to kick Edward off but Edward keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Padilla will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Despite the aggression on Edward's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Padilla looks to throw a body kick and Edward counters with a left and a right that stings Padilla. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Padilla. Padilla misses with a kick to the body.
