#R1# Johnson closes the distance but Abedi moves to the side and Abedi counters with a thumping low kick. Johnson wants to land a leg kick but Abedi is out of range. Johnson misses with a leg kick #TD# and Abedi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard. Johnson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Abedi dives into side control.
#REVB# Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Abedi drags him back down. Abedi in side control lands a decent elbow. Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Johnson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Abedi.
Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Abedi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Johnson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Abedi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Abedi is staying tight to Johnson's torso, preventing him from escaping. Abedi lands a few punches from side control.#T1# Abedi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Abedi is putting a hurting on Johnson here, landing some big shots from side control. Abedi in side control lands a decent elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson defending against the ground and pound. Abedi in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Johnson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Abedi turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
