#R1##CL2# Hickling closes the distance and clinches. Hamilton is working for takedown but Hickling is calmly controlling the position for now. Hickling blocks a body shot from Hamilton. #TD2# Hickling manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hickling can do anything to dispel that myth. Hickling working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hamilton. Hamilton is looking to work some ground and pound but Hickling has wrist control. Hamilton is stalling in the full guard. Hickling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamilton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hickling wants to improve his position but instead Hamilton has moved into half guard.
Hickling blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hamilton. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hickling keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hickling is looking for a sweep. Hamilton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hickling has hold of Hamilton's hands but Hamilton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hamilton working Hickling over with strikes. #T1# Hamilton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hickling wants to control but Hamilton is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hamilton thows a huge punch but Hickling dodges it nicely.
Hamilton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hamilton is nestled in close to Hickling, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hickling is looking to improve his position.
Hamilton with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hamilton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hamilton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T2# Hamilton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hamilton slows the pace down in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hamilton connects with a nice short shot to Hickling's temple. Hamilton working Hickling over with strikes. Hamilton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hamilton working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hamilton is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hickling! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hamilton content just to control the position here. Hickling looks winded!#T3# Hickling is in a horrible position here. Hamilton smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hamilton looking to finish Hickling with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hickling! Hickling is still in real trouble! Can Hamilton finish him? Oooooh, big shot lands for Hamilton! Hickling is hurt baaadly! Hamilton is firing away with more strikes - Hickling is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
