Fang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Day paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fang closes the distance and clinches up with Day, looking for a takedown. Fang pushes Day against the cage but Day circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Day scores with a jab to the jaw. Fang fails with a takedown attempt. Day chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Day tests Fang's chin there with a solid looking shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#TD2# Day gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fang to score an easy takedown into full guard.#T1# Day wants to sweep but no luck. Day was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Fang tries to clinch but Day moves out of range. #R1##TD2# Fang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Muhammad! Muhammad knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fang on the ground. Fang misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Fang tries to score with some ground and pound. Muhammad controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Muhammad parries the strikes from Fang easily there. Fang is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Muhammad to escape.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. #SUB# Fang looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fang is trying to maintain the position but Wick is very close to passing his half guard. Wick looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wick connects with a nice short shot to Fang's temple. Fang is trying to get back to full guard. Wick lands a big elbow - Fang is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight!
