Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Palkin throws a series of punches but Lopez avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palkin scores with a sloppy right hand. Lopez should have avoided that one.
Lopez doesn't succeed with the takedown

Lopez tries to score a body lock takedown but Palkin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lopez is pressed up against the cage. Palkin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lopez down to the mat. Lopez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lopez goes for a double leg but Palkin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Palkin continues to drive forward.
Palkin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lopez at a distance.
Lopez shoots in for a double leg but Palkin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Palkin manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez is defended easily by Palkin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ksa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Palkin is looking for a counter combo.
Ksa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palkin was well out of range. Poor timing from Ksa.

Ksa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#BC2#

Ksa is trying to drag Palkin to the mat but Palkin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Palkin lands an elbow inside that Ksa shrugs off.
Ksa has Palkin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Palkin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ksa is trying to pull guard but Palkin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD#
Palkin jumps guard and drags Ksa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Palkin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. #SUB#
Ksa is posturing up here but Palkin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ksa tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ksa has to tap! Slick submission there by Palkin!
