Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mark Pontoon and Jim Leen. Leen has chosen Marine Corps Hymn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jim Leen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Mark Pontoon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Jim Leen! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pontoon. Leen closes the distance and clinches. Leen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pontoon uses from the top position. Leen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pontoon is aware though and is defending well. Pontoon trying to control but Leen is working from the bottom. Pontoon content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Leen has locked up a guillotine! Leen's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Pontoon is holding on here and Leen must be using up a lot of energy. Pontoon has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Leen gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mark Pontoon and Bartosz Kapustka. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Mark Pontoon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Bartosz Kapustka! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.

Pontoon has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kapustka is trying to keep an underhook but Pontoon manages to get the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Pontoon (2) vs (0) Kapustka The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kapustka manages to get to full guard.
Pontoon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pontoon tries to free his leg and advance position but Kapustka is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pontoon passes easily into side control. Nice work. Score +3 for passing guard: Pontoon (5) vs (0) Kapustka Pontoon trying to control the position but Kapustka is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pontoon swings around for an armbar but Kapustka sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pontoon's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Pontoon (5) vs (2) Kapustka Pontoon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Pontoon controls Kapustka momentarily but Kapustka frees himself. Kapustka wants to control from the top but Pontoon keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pontoon holds on and takes a little breather. Kapustka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pontoon keeping moving, preventing Kapustka from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pontoon is trying to control the position but Kapustka postures up. Kapustka looking to sit in guard and control but Pontoon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Pontoon (7) vs (2) Kapustka The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pontoon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pontoon trying to control the position from guard on top but Kapustka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kapustka is trying to control the position but Pontoon postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pontoon stands and throws Kapustka's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Pontoon (10) vs (2) Kapustka Kapustka wants to control but Pontoon postures up. Pontoon tries to advance to mount but Kapustka denies him. Pontoon is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kapustka is trying to escape and Pontoon transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kapustka is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pontoon! Very nice indeed!

Song is staying active underneath Pontoon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pontoon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pontoon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Song defends it well. Pontoon is trying to control. Song wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pontoon is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Song ! Pontoon is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Pontoon extends the arm and Song is forced to tap!
