Morbius wants to get back to full guard.#SUB# Morbius is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Merry pulls his head out easily. Merry is trying to control the action in half guard but Morbius is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Merry might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Morbius haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Morbius wants to improve his position but Merry is controlling well.
#SUB# Morbius has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Merry. Oh but Morbius has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Merry goes limp - he's gone! Morbius jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

#R1##TD2# Carter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Merry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #CUT2# It looks like Pike Merry has been cut. Carter working over Merry with some ground and pound. Merry looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Carter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Let's hope that Carter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#ES# Merry manages to escape and get back to his feet! Carter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. John Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Carter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Merry's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Merry taking some punishment here, with Carter in his half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Carter lands with a punch from half guard. Carter trying to advance position but Merry counters by regaining guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter connects with a couple of short punches.#ES# Merry has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Carter off him and springs to his feet nicely. Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bubba Force and Pike Merry. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Bubba Force! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Pike Merry! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Merry clinches with his opponent.

Force seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Merry for as long as he can get away with. Force seems to be looking for submissions.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Merry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Force looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Force is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Merry is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Yoshimura blocks a body shot from Merry. Yoshimura lands a damaging elbow. Yoshimura working Merry over with knees to the body. Merry looks winded! Yoshimura lands an elbow that stopped Merry in his tracks for a moment. #CUT# The cut above Pike Merry's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yoshimura lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#CUT# It looks like Pike Merry has been cut. Clas Viera cracks Merry on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Merry falls backwards against the cage. Clas Viera follows up with more strikes that drop Merry to his knees. Clas Viera keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Merry! This one is all over!

He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC# Merry is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Merry switches off momentarily and Dobiass cracks him with a monster right hand! Merry topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Dobiass dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Dobiass!
