#R1# Sluce fails in his attempt to clinch. #TD2# Sluce throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Edward was covering up waiting for the punch and Sluce finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sluce pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Edward is keeping the position for now. #ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Edward manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.#BC# Edward breaks from the clinch.
Edward looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sluce wants to counter the offense by Edward and move into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Edward shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Edward showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sluce tries to kick Edward off but Edward keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Edward wants to pass the guard but Sluce is defending well. #T1# Edward content to control rather than advance. Edward seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sluce for as long as he can get away with. Sluce is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edward looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Sluce is looking to improve his position.
#SU# Edward decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. #TD# Edward shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Edward showed some decent athleticism there. Edward seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #T2# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sluce is looking to escape. Sluce looks winded!#SU# Edward escapes and gets back to his feet. #TD# Edward gets a takedown into half guard. Edward tries to pass to full mount but Sluce defends it. Edward controlling the action here. #T3##SU# Edward decides to return to a standing position. #CL# Edward clinches up against the cage. Edward scores with an uppercut up the middle. A knee to the head by Edward.
Sluce tries to land knees in the clinch but Edward avoids the damage to the body. Edward creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sluce's defenses. Sluce jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Edward walks away with a smile on his face. Sluce gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL# Edward clinches up against the cage.#BC# Edward breaks the clinch.
A left and a right from Edward both land. Nice combination. #ROC# Sluce is rocked! Edward gets in close and tags Sluce with a short punch that almost sends Sluce to the mat! Oh Sluce is in big trouble! He turns his back on Edward, trying to create some distance but Edward rushes him, striking wildly and Sluce goes down! The referee tackles Edward into the cage to end the fight! Edward is one violent man!
