Ibanez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Maia is keeping the position for now. Maia doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Ibanez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ibanez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maia swivels though and keeps the full guard. #SUB2# Maia throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

We've been hearing reports that Conley has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.#CL2# Maia pushes Conley up against the cage in a clinch. Conley lands with a short shot to the head. Conley pushes Maia back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Conley throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.#BC# Conley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Conley throws a hook to the side of Maia's head but Maia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A lazy left from Conley finds it's target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maia. Conley is looking to counter punch. Maia shoots in looking for a takedown. Conley tries to sprawl out of it but Maia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #T1# Maia shoots for a takedown but Conley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Maia with the counter takedown but Money avoids it easily. Maia shoots in but Money avoids the takedown attempt easily. Maia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Money finds it's way round the side to connect with Maia's head. Money lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Money keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Maia. Money lands a nice hook to Maia's body. Maia takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Maia gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Money seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Maia shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense. As Maia tries to get set, Money tries to push him back and clinch up but Maia manages to avoid the attempt. Decent striking displayed by Money there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Money scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Maia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

A decent looking cross lands there for Money. Money thuds a left hand into Maia's body. Maia gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Maia tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Money is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Maia buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Maia!! Maia is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Money throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Reed Money decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
