Fang is trying to escape back to his feet but Butler uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Butler is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Butler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Butler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Butler's back!

Butler is looking to clinch but Erikson is avoiding it.
Erikson looks to score with a jab to the body but Butler is just out of range.

A frustrated look appears on Erikson 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Butler is looking to take this one to the mat.
Butler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Butler fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Erikson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Butler can't fight it off and eventually Erikson manages to take the fight to the floor. Butler looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Erikson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Butler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Erikson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Erikson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Butler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Butler drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Erikson defends it well.
Erikson closes the distance and clinches up with Butler, looking for a takedown. Erikson pushes Butler against the cage but Butler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Erikson has one foot on Butler's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Erikson , as that shot connected.
Butler has his takedown stuffed
and Erikson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leif Erikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Smedley Butler.#T3#
Butler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Erikson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Butler somewhat.

Butler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Butler walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Butler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Erikson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Butler moves away.
Erikson scores with a hook to the body. Butler takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Butler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #T4#

Erikson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Butler's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Butler has momentary wrist control but Erikson slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Erikson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Butler sprawling to the canvas! Butler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Erikson finish him?!

Butler is rocked!
Butler takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Butler takes a jab right on the kisser.
Butler is still on wobbly legs! Can Erikson finish him?
Erikson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Butler up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Erikson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Butler's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leif Erikson !
Leif Erikson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
