I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rafael Carvalho was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Nintendo Takada Jr! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Rafael Carvalho! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Carvalho stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carvalho wants it to stay on the feet. Takada Jr sets himself, and Carvalho steps forward looking for the clinch! Takada Jr avoids it this time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takada Jr. Carvalho tries to clinch up. Carvalho bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Smith is looking to clinch. Takada Jr wants to counter the offense by Smith and move into the clinch position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takada Jr struggling a bit here. Le Tallec tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Takada Jr is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Le Tallec is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Le Tallec controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Le Tallec has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
