Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sheizar is defended easily by Shaw. Shaw misses with a head kick.
#CL2# Shaw gets tackled into the cage by Sheizar. Sheizar maintains the clinch. #TD2# Sheizar works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Sheizar passes Shaw's left leg - he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Sheizar seems content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw is looking to get back to is feet but Sheizar passes into side control.

Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shaw tries to get out of the position. That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! A looping hook to the body misses from McPunchYerFace. Shaw does a little dance to reset his feet. Shaw looks for a takedown but McPunchYerFace sprawls well. McPunchYerFace attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Shaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Carter fails with the takedown. Shaw feinted with a counter takedown. Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Carter moves out of range easily. Carter is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Carter lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shaw takes a step back to recover. #TD2# Carter feints and as Shaw raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shaw's guard. Carter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Griffin throws a big shot that misses.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Shaw enables Griffin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griffin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. #ROC2# Shaw is rocked! Griffin loads up on a big left hand. Shaw felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Griffin looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight!
