Melendez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Williams tries for a takedown but Melendez manages to get underhooks.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Melendez.

Williams throws a series of punches but Melendez moves out of range. #TD2# Williams feints and as Melendez raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Williams's corner is telling him to maintain position. Williams passes Melendez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Williams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. #T4# Williams landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. #SUB2# Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Melendez defends it well. Melendez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though. Melendez tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control. Williams uses his free foot to push down on Melendez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Melendez. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams lands a big shot there that rocks Melendez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Williams tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #CL2# Williams gets a clinch. Williams takes an elbow to the temple. #TD# Melendez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Williams clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Williams preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Melendez. #T4# Melendez has the hooks in. Williams is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Williams remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Melendez will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. That was a close second round but I would say that Arden Melendez will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! #R3# Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Melendez, which made it look bad. #TD2# Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Well, if Williams is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
