The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Falo taking a breather here. Scorston can't do much from the bottom here. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Falo shoots in and drives through. Mccarthy sprawls well. A countering left hand to the body from Mccarthy misses. Falo misses with a low kick as Mccarthy jumps back. Mccarthy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mccarthy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Falo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mccarthy.#KD2# Mccarthy drops Falo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Falo looks back up at him and smiles so Mccarthy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mccarthy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Falo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mccarthy as he jumps to the side. A shot to the liver by Mccarthy. Beautiful body shot. Falo is breathing heavily. Mccarthy finds Falo's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Falo flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Mccarthy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Falo will be OK.
