#BC# Jedrzejczyk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Schmidt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Schmidt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schmidt punishes Jedrzejczyk's body with a nice straight punch. Jedrzejczyk tries to clinch but Schmidt moves out of range. Schmidt paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jedrzejczyk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Schmidt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Schmidt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Schmidt throws a combination. Jedrzejczyk tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Schmidt fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Schmidt lands a nice shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A combination from Schmidt does no damage. Schmidt lands with an uppercut that bounces Jedrzejczyk off the cage and back into range. Schmidt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jedrzejczyk stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Schmidt throws a shot to the body.

Schmidt walks into a stiff left hand from Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Schmidt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schmidt is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jedrzejczyk rather than just go for the knockout. A punch combination from Jedrzejczyk misses. Ole Schmidt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Schmidt throws a right and a left that both miss. Schmidt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jedrzejczyk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Schmidt throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jedrzejczyk on the side of the head. A left lands for Schmidt. Schmidt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schmidt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jedrzejczyk circles away quickly and effectively. Schmidt looks winded! Jedrzejczyk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jedrzejczyk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schmidt paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jedrzejczyk tries to close the distance and clinch but Schmidt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ole Schmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schmidt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Schmidt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jedrzejczyk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schmidt paws at him with a jab and circles away. Schmidt misses with a double jab
and Jedrzejczyk counters with a three punch combo that has Schmidt backing up. Schmidt nods at Jedrzejczyk to acknowledge the strikes. Schmidt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jedrzejczyk.
Jedrzejczyk ducks under a wild hook from Schmidt. Schmidt walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Jedrzejczyk and drops face first to the floor! Schmidt's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Schmidt in no position to continue!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Karolina Jedrzejczyk! Karolina Jedrzejczyk decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1# Curtis walks into a jab. Schmidt throws a combination. Curtis tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Schmidt throws a left and a right that both miss
and Curtis counters with a nice body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Schmidt. Curtis does a little dance to reset his feet. Curtis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Schmidt. Curtis lands a jab to the head.

Curtis on the wrong end of a nice hook. Schmidt cracks Curtis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Curtis jabs Schmidt right on the nose. Schmidt blinks but takes it well. Schmidt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Curtis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Ole Schmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schmidt throws a series of punches but Curtis avoids them all with ease. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Curtis! But no joy. Curtis lands with a straight right. Schmidt didn't see that one coming. Schmidt lands with a good body shot. Curtis dodges the punch combination from Schmidt.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that Curtis avoids nicely. Curtis throws out a counter right but Schmidt avoids it with no problem.#T1# Schmidt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Curtis was well out of range. Poor timing from Schmidt. Curtis is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Schmidt with a body shot. Schmidt misses with a wild body shot. #KD2# Curtis lands a big uppercut and Schmidt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Schmidt looks OK. Curtis waves Schmidt back to his feet!#ROC2# Schmidt is rocked! Schmidt is looking to wear down Curtis with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Schmidt swings widly with a right hand
and Curtis counters with a lovely shot to the body. Oh Schmidt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Schmidt is breathing heavily. Schmidt just misses with a punch to the body.
Curtis lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Schmidt falls backwards - clearly groggy! Curtis dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ezekiel Curtis!
