Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Martin Holm (ranked 3371 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Ganador (ranked 7388 p4p, 507 weight class). Ganador is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by We Will Rock You. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Martin Holm! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Luis Ganador! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The fight stays on the outside here - Ganador looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Holm seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ganador tries for a takedown but Holm circles away easily and Holm counters by clinching up. Ganador tries to pull guard but Holm won't allow it.
Holm changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ganador fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Holm seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Holm moves into the clinch successfully.
Holm has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ganador uses from the top position. Ganador slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ganador drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ganador seems to have locked his on tight now - Holm screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ganador, as he picks up the win!

Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Francis has his takedown stuffed and Holm counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Holm ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Holm no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Holm wants to sweep here but Francis controlling him for the moment. Francis wants to control from the top but Holm keeps moving. Francis has gone for a leg lock! That's two minutes gone in the round. Holm is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Holm's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Holm got a little sloppy there for a moment and Francis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holm has managed to get both his arms back between Francis's legs - danger averted. Holm preventing the sweep. Francis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Francis working for a triangle but Holm defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holm controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holm continues to stall. Francis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Holm escapes and throws Francis's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Holm (5) vs (0) Francis Holm is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Francis's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Francis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Francis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Holm content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Francis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Holm's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Holm takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Francis is pressing down on Holm's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Francis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Holm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Francis on the ground. Francis is trying to keep Holm in close.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Francis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Holm stacks Francis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Holm! Francis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Francis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Holm is stinking the place up with his stalling. Francis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Francis wants to sweep but no luck. Holm sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Holm. More hug and hope from Holm. Francis trying to keep a closed guard but Holm is proving a slippery customer.
Francis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holm's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Holm (8) vs (2) Francis Holm looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Francis's corner is telling him to maintain position. Francis preventing the sweep. Holm keeping moving, preventing Francis from controlling successfully. Holm wants to sweep here but Francis controlling him for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holm pulls Francis in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Holm takes the fight on points by 8 to 2. Martin Holm spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |

Holm works Neil's body with a nice hook. Neil lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Neil buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Neil scores with a jab to the body. Holm looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Neil dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Holm. That did some damage! Holm avoids the head kick by Neil.
A little feinted left hand from Holm on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Holm bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Holm swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Neil scores with a jab to the body. Neil misses with a straight left. Holm blocks a jab. Neil lands a nice hook to Holm's body. Holm takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neil takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.#T1# Neil looks for the body kick but Holm saw that one coming. Neil throws a nice head kick!

Oh Holm is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Holm is breathing heavily. Neil throws a head kick but Holm moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Holm misses the target. Neil looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Neil backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Holm's temple! It sends Holm violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Neil celebrates and the doctors try to help Holm!

A little jabbing left from Holm on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Magufuli I V lands with a good body shot. A punch lands to the side of Holm 's head but he takes it in his stride. Magufuli I V just misses with a punch to the body.
Holm throws out a counter right but Magufuli I V avoids it with no problem. Kassim Magufuli I V seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jab by Magufuli I V. Magufuli I V darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Magufuli I V scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.#T1# Magufuli I V keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Holm leaves his chin hanging out and Magufuli I V seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Holm crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. Lyle Chipperson spoke after the fight, saying 'This greased-up steroid-monster won just because my pre-fight blueberry smoothie was laced! And the judges and the referee were bought! And it was an early stoppage! And even the goddamn mat was too slippery!'.

It seemed like Holm was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A looping hook to the body misses from Forbes. Holm does a little dance to reset his feet. Holm with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Forbes to score with a decent uppercut. We've been told by Forbes's head coaches at Bójka that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Holm throws an overhand right that lands on Forbes's shoulder, as Forbes tries to avoid the shot. Forbes looks to throw the jab but Holm is out of range.
