Madwell cracks Dangle with an open hand slap. Dangle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jim Dangle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Madwell throws a wild body kick that Dangle sees coming a mile off. Dangle takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Madwell circles away from the clinch attempt and Madwell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Madwell connects with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dangle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. #R1# Dangle looks to clinch enabling Trotter to counter with a crisp jab. #CUT# It looks like Jim Dangle has been cut. Dangle wants to clinch. Trotter lands a jab to Dangle's midsection. Dangle throws out a leg kick but Trotter moves out of range and Dangle only half commits. Dangle closes the distance but Trotter moves to the side and Trotter counters with a left to the body. Dangle thows a leg kick but Trotter checks it and Trotter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dangle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trotter stuns Dangle with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Dangle throws a sloppy head kick letting Trotter counter with a right hand. Trotter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trotter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#ROC# Dangle is rocked!#T1# Dangle tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dangle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dangle appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Lawson scores with a nice head shot. A jab from Lawson misses. #KD2# Lawson lands a big uppercut and Dangle crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dangle looks OK. Lawson waves Dangle back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lawson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've been informed that Dangle has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Dangle throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Dangle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Dangle bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kittel's head backwards. Both fighters circling a little - Dangle finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Dangle tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

#R1# Nose misses with a takedown attempt and Dangle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That kick from Dangle tenderised Nose's leg. Nose is trying to keep his angry face on. Dangle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nose sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dangle somewhat. Nose goes for a double leg but Dangle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dangle continues to drive forward. Dangle moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.#CUT# It looks like Bonny Nose has been cut. Nose fails with the takedown letting Dangle counter with a right hand. Jim Dangle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bonny Nose. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dangle, right into the meat.
Nose shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dangle as he jumps to the side. Dangle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Dangle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nose looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dangle stalks Nose and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nose's face. Nose staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dangle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nose. Nose fails to land the takedown. Nose takes a jab right on the kisser.

Nose postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nose trying to control but Dangle is working from the bottom. Dangle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nose's guard. #REVR# Dangle missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nose keeping moving, preventing Dangle from controlling successfully. Nose controls Dangle momentarily but Dangle frees himself. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nose can do anything to dispel that myth.#SUB2# Nose is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Nose tries for a takedown but Dangle circles away easily and Dangle counters with a three punch combo that has Nose backing up. Nose nods at Dangle to acknowledge the strikes. That's knocked out Koscheck's gum shield and as Koscheck falls to the floor, the referee steps in to end the fight!
