#R1##TD# Browne gets caught napping as Baker dives in and scores a takedown. Browne manages to retain guard. Browne wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Baker manages to pass to side control. Browne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#REVB# Baker not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Browne is looking to control Baker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Browne avoid being mounted? Browne is in trouble now - Baker has advanced to mount! Baker thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Baker looking to control but Browne is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. #T1# Baker looking to finish Browne with some ground and pound. This is bad for Browne! Poor strikes thrown by Baker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Browne throws a right hand that Baker ducks under and follows up with a left that Baker also avoids with ease. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Browne.

Browne tries to close the distance and clinch but Baker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #CL2# Browne moves into the clinch. Baker stalling in the clinch.

Baker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Baker is breathing heavily. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Baker tries for a takedown. No joy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Browne wants to stand but Baker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Browne is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#SU2# Browne decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baker, up you get! That was a close round but I would say that Liam Baker will probably get the nod. Browne should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Browne goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Baker fails with the takedown and Browne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Browne throws a combination. Baker tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Browne tries to bum rush Baker with a series of wild strikes but Baker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Baker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Browne. Browne misses with a few strikes there.

Simon Browne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Oh Baker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Browne throws a big uppercut that drops Baker! More strikes from Browne and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Baker lies dazed against the cage as Browne celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Browne! Simon Browne tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
