We've been hearing reports that Sousa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Storm throws out a loose jab but Sousa uses good head movement to avoid it.

Storm stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sousa dives in for a single leg takedown but Storm sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Sousa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sousa manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Storm has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sousa celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

A relieved looking Joao Sousa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
