Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fernando, as that shot connected.
That kick from Fernando tenderised Bakajovic's leg. Bakajovic is trying to keep his angry face on. Fernando avoids the body shot from Bakajovic.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fernando! But no joy. Bakajovic with a poor takedown and Fernando counters with a nice uppercut. Bakajovic tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fernando was well out of range. Poor timing from Bakajovic. Fernando looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Fernando throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bakajovic on the side of the head. Fernando fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bakajovic on the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fernando lands an overhand right. Fernando lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Fernando keeps the fight on the outside. Fernando is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bakajovic. Bakajovic staying out of range there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fernando wants to get back to full guard. Fernando blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bakajovic. Bakajovic throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bakajovic is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Fernando gets full guard. Fernando can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bakajovic controls the pace. Fernando tests Bakajovic's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fernando looks to throw the jab but Bakajovic is out of range. Adolfo Fernando seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bakajovic swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Fernando to counter with a crisp jab. Fernando's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bakajovic under the eye.#CL# Fernando tries to keep at a distance but Bakajovic has taken the fight into the clinch. Bakajovic is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fernando pulls Bakajovic in close to prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bakajovic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fernando utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bakajovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bakajovic with a flurry of punches that miss. Fernando looking for a sweep. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fernando bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bakajovic's guard. #REVB# Fernando stops Bakajovic from standing up. Fernando lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James struggling a bit here. Bakajovic misses with the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bakajovic grinds an elbow into James's temple. James tries to buck Bakajovic off but Bakajovic is having none of it. James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bakajovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.#T1# James wants to control but Bakajovic postures up. James looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bakajovic seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. #R1##TD2# Bakajovic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Abbott looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The strikes coming from Bakajovic are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Bakajovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abbott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Abbott tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bakajovic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bakajovic controls the position from side control. Abbott is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Abbott manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Abbott could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abbott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bakajovic is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#T1# Bakajovic wanted to stand there but Abbott had control of the position. Bakajovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bakajovic wants to stand but Abbott has a closed guard, so he can't escape. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Abbott looks to throw a body kick#CL2# and Bakajovic counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bakajovic. Bakajovic is pushing Abbott up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bakajovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bakajovic with a nice head shot there.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bakajovic postures up and lands a big shot to Abbott's brow. Bakajovic is working Abbott over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Abbott is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! #CUT2# It looks like Jeffery Abbott has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#TD2# Bakajovic closes the distance looking for a takedown. Abbott stuffs it but Bakajovic still has hold of him. Bakajovic picks Abbott up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Bakajovic slams Abbott to the floor and that's really hurt Abbott - he doesn't know where he is! Bakajovic throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
