Theil throws a head punch that misses. #TD2# Theil has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bensoussan regains guard immediately. Theil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Bensoussan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Theil defends it easily. Bensoussan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

#R1##TD# Mclean feints and as Theil raises his hands in defense, Mclean changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Theil not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mclean makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.#SUB2# Theil working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mclean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mclean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SU# Mclean decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Theil, up you get! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Mclean. Theil wants to get back to his feet. That was a close round but I would say that Donnell Mclean will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. Chris Theil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R1##TD2# Theil shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Theil was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB2# Theil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Theil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Walsh really is a fat lump.#SUB2# Theil is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walsh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Walsh is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Theil is controlling him well. Walsh is looking to reverse the position. Walsh tries to escape but Theil is in control. Walsh manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Theil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working.
