#R1# A big left from Steel misses. Divett drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Steel defends it well. Divett dives in for a single leg takedown but Steel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Steel throws a series of punches but Divett avoids them all with ease. Divett throws a fast counter high kick but Steel manages to duck under it in time. Steel connects with a single shot there. Steel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. The fight stays on the outside here - Divett looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Divett doesn't succeed with the takedown and Steel counters with a stiff right hand. Divett throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Nice uppercut there from Steel. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steel punishes Divett's body with a nice straight punch. Divett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Divett tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Brandon Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aiden Divett.#T1# Divett ducks under a wild hook from Steel. Divett with a poor takedown and Steel counters with a nice uppercut. #ROC# Divett is rocked! Divett moves out of range of the strikes. Steel jabs Divett right on the nose. Divett blinks but takes it well. Divett is still on wobbly legs! Can Steel finish him? Divett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steel tries to counter by clinching up but Divett breaks away and moves out of range. A bone on bone clash there as Steel blocks the leg kick.
Steel seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Steel stuffs the takedown attempt from Divett. Divett gets slowly back to his feet. Steel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #CL2# Divett moves into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. A left hand lands to the body for Steel.
Divett looks winded! Steel digs a right hand into Divett's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Divett's gas tank. #T2# Steel tries to circle away but Divett has him pinned against the cage. Steel pushes Divett back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Divett is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Divett is trying to pull guard but Steel turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Steel.
Steel lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Divett. Steel scores with an uppercut up the middle. Steel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Steel. A right hand to the body from Steel.
Steel cracks Divett with a nice body shot. Steel softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Steel lands a body punch. Divett blocks the elbow strike.
Steel lands a body shot. Steel pressing his opponent against the cage. Steel lands a left hand.
Steel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #T3# Steel is working Divett over against the cage. Steel pushes Divett back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Steel lands with a light punch inside. Steel is trying to force a seperation but Divett has the dominant position. Steel digs a right hand into Divett's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Divett's gas tank. Steel is trying to break free. Steel working hard to break the clinch. Steel lands a nice uppercut. Steel makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Steel lands a body punch. Nice body punch from Steel. Steel lands with a short head shot on the inside. Steel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Steel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Steel scores with a shot to the side of Divett's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steel scores with a shoulder strike. #BC# Steel manages to break the clinch.
Divett walks straight into a right hand from Steel - that's dropped him! Steel jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Divett from any more punishment! Divett complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
