#R1# Pennington leaves Winston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Pennington feinted with a counter takedown. Winston looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#TD2# Winston looking to score a takedown here. Pennington is defending well but Winston drives through and ends up in Pennington's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pennington wants to sweep here but Winston controlling him for the moment. Pennington wants to stand up but Winston is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Pennington is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #T1# Winston trying to control the position from guard on top but Pennington is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pennington wants to sweep but no luck. Winston throwing strikes from guard but Pennington blocks nicely. #ES# Pennington manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Winston shoots in for a takedown but Pennington shows good takedown defense. King Pennington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waylon Winston.#TD# Pennington shoots in and gets a takedown into Winston's guard.#ES2# Winston kicks Pennington off and gets to his feet. #T2# Winston tries to clinch but Pennington moves out of range. Waylon Winston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pennington goes for a double leg but Winston avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Winston continues to drive forward. Winston connects with a combination that backs up Pennington into the cage. Winston lands a flurry of punches that gets past Pennington's guard. Pennington is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Winston bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
