#R1# Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frank was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker. Frank looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Walker fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Frank to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Frank looks to clinch but Walker throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Frank taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Melvin Walker! After winning the bout, Melvin Walker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# Walker lands with a cross. #CUT# It looks like Darce Weaver has been cut.#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Weaver. #SUB2# Weaver thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. #SUB2# Weaver swings around for an armbar but Walker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Weaver's guard. Walker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Walker wants to control from the top but Weaver keeps moving. Walker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Walker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Weaver utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Walker throwing strikes but missing. Walker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #SUB2# Weaver is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Walker has his hands clasped together but Weaver extends and breaks Walker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Weaver.

#R1# Mcado throws a right hand that Walker ducks under and follows up with a left that Walker also avoids with ease. Walker with a poor takedown and Mcado counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nice takedown defense from Mcado. No joy for Walker on that attempt. Mcado scores with a one two! Walker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CUT# It looks like Melvin Walker has been cut.#CL2# Walker clinches up with Mcado and pushes him back against the cage. Mcado on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

#R1# Walker fails in his attempt to clinch. Some bone on bone action there as Kazakov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. #TD# Kazakov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. #SUB# Kazakov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kazakov wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it. #SUB# Kazakov wants to work for an arm triangle but Walker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazakov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kazakov works his way into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kazakov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walker keeps working. #SUB# Kazakov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #T1##SUB# Kazakov is trying to land an Americana. Melvin Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Walker is still on wobbly legs! Can Hugh finish him? Walker tries to clinch up but Hugh circles away and keeps his distance. Walker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.#CL# Hugh gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hugh blocks a body shot from Walker. Walker swings away with an uppercut that misses.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Walker working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hugh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR##T3# Hugh wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving. Walker seems keen to control Hugh's posture. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hugh wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it. Hugh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hugh uses his free foot to push down on Walker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Walker. Hugh wants to control but Walker has made it back to half guard. Nice work. #T4# Hugh tries to stand but can't do so whilst Walker controls his leg. Walker gets full guard. That was a close round but I would say that Roy Hugh will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Melvin Walker's cut. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Walker trying to control but Hugh is working from the bottom. Hugh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Hugh won't allow Walker to sweep him here. Hugh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hugh looking to sit in guard and control but Walker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Hugh wants to stand but Walker is controlling the position. Hugh will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

And that's the end of the fight! Melvin Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
