#R1##CL2# Ridal closes the distance and clinches. #TD# Hardman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ridal can't fight it off and eventually Hardman manages to take the fight to the floor. Ridal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.#SUB2# Hardman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ridal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hardman has managed to get both his arms back between Ridal's legs - danger averted.#SUB# Hardman has gone for a leg lock! Ridal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardman's guard.#REVB##SUB# Hardman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ridal is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hardman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ridal controls the position from side control.#T1##SU2# Ridal decides to stand back up. Hardman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#TD2# Ridal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardman sprawls well initially but Ridal persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #SUB2# Ridal is trying to work for a kimura but Hardman is defending well.
#SUB# Hardman looking for submissions off his back. Ridal trying to control from Hardman's half guard. Hardman has other ideas though and has regained full guard. #T2# Ridal trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB# Hardman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ridal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ridal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #T3# Ridal wants to control from the top but Hardman keeps moving. Ridal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.#SUB# Hardman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
#SUB# Hardman has his foot on Ridal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ridal works his way back into a safe position though. Hardman is breathing heavily. Hardman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A looping hook to the body misses from Ridal. Hardman does a little dance to reset his feet.#TD# Hardman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ridal was covering up waiting for the punch and Hardman finishes the takedown easily into guard. #SUB# Hardman has gone for a leg lock! Ridal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardman's guard.#REVB##SUB# Ridal content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hardman has locked up a guillotine! Hardman's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ridal is holding on here and Hardman must be using up a lot of energy. Ridal has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hardman gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
