#R1# Medina slips a jab and a cross from Barako.
Barako throws a lazy head kick #CL# and Medina counters by clinching up. #TD# Medina pulls guard effortlessly. Barako wants to stand but Medina is controlling his posture from full guard. Medina seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Barako must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Medina trying to strike off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Medina manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Barako is trying to force a seperation but Medina has the dominant position.#TD# Medina successfully pulls guard.
#T1# Barako being controlled here momentarily. Medina will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Barako tries to stand but Medina is controlling from the bottom. #ES# Medina kicks Barako off and gets to his feet. Barako fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice uppercut there from Barako. Barako should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.#TD# Medina closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Barako bucks up and tries to throw Medina off but instead Medina has got his back! This has been an exciting period of action! Medina looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
#T2# Medina lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
#SUB# Barako is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Medina sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Barako has no choice but to tap and Medina jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
