Morgan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Faber takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
#TD# Faber gets the takedown into side control. Morgan gets back to half guard. Faber wants to control but Morgan is keeping him busy. Morgan has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Morgan wants to improve his position but Faber is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faber looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. #SUB2# Morgan looking for submissions off his back. Faber takes a body punch but keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morgan lands an overhand right.#CUT2# It looks like Uriah Faber has been cut. A punch lands to the side of Faber 's head but he takes it in his stride.#TD# Morgan gets caught flat footed, as Faber shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.#ES2# Morgan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Faber off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. This has been an exciting period of action! Faber changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morgan tries to avoid it but Faber manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morgan to the ground. Morgan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uriah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Nice cross by Morgan. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morgan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Morgan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Faber takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Morgan lands a nice looking body shot.
Morgan cracks Faber on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Faber falls backwards against the cage. Morgan follows up with more strikes that drop Faber to his knees. Morgan keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Faber! This one is all over!

Faber jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Papin walks away with a smile on his face. Faber gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2# Papin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Faber tries to pull guard but Papin holds him up against the cage and eventually Faber drops back down to his feet.
Faber is trying to pull guard but Papin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uriah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Papin lands a left hand.

Boothe has his hands on Faber's head, controlling the position. Faber advances position into side control! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.#SUB2# Faber is trying to get an arm triangle but Boothe is defending well. Faber wants to take a breather but Boothe manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Faber. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Faber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boothe is keeping the position for now. #T1# Boothe wants to hit a switch here but Faber passes into full mount! Crowe lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Crowe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Faber backwards. #TD2# Faber pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crowe postures up and lands a big shot to Faber's brow. Faber looking to control.

#R1# No luck for Faber with that takedown attempt. Faber shoots for a takedown but Chuvalo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chuvalo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chuvalo.#CUT# It looks like Uriah Faber has been cut. Faber tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chuvalo defends well and Faber ends up having to push Chuvalo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. George Chuvalo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriah Faber. Chuvalo dips to his left and cracks Faber with an uppercut! Faber dives in for a single leg takedown but Chuvalo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Faber gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Faber half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Martinez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Faber is landing a low percentage of strikes.#TD# Faber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. John Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriah Faber. Faber avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Faber is in Bam's guard. Bam keeping full guard, as Faber tries to pass. Faber is still trying to improve position. Bam looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bam controls Faber momentarily but Faber frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bam can't keep his opponent in guard - Faber advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #T1# Faber looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Faber has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bam avoids a series of strikes thrown by Faber.
