A quick step to the side and Jogan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bronie tries to score with a low kick but Jogan moves his leg out of the way. Bronie with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jogan to score with a decent uppercut. #R1# Teixeira jabs Bronie right on the nose. Bronie blinks but takes it well. Teixeira has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Harambe Remembrance Hall in the buildup to the fight. A jab from Teixeira finds it's way through Bronie's defenses. Teixeira misses with a hook. Bronie ducked under it nicely. Bronie drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Teixeira defends it well. Teixeira throws a shot to the body.
Bronie throws a right hand that Teixeira ducks under and follows up with a left that Teixeira also avoids with ease. Teixeira wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Teixeira scores with a jab to the body. Teixeira blocks a head kick by Bronie.
Bronie takes one to the chin there. Bronie goes for a double leg but Teixeira avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Teixeira continues to drive forward. Teixeira tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bronie was well out of range. Poor timing from Teixeira. Bronie with the counter takedown but Teixeira avoids it easily. Teixeira scores with a shot to the body.

and Cormier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bronie wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bronie drops his hands momentarily and Cormier takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. #T1# Bronie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cormier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cormier lands a lovely overhand right. Cormier looks to land a right hand but Bronie moved out of range. Bronie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
