The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Petty cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
McDonald creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

McDonald tries to pull guard but Grant holds him up against the cage and eventually McDonald drops back down to his feet.

McDonald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grant manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Grant tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McDonald defends well and Grant ends up having to push McDonald into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delbert Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grant shoots for a double leg takedown but McDonald sprawls well. He's pushed Grant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McDonald darts in looking for a takedown but Grant gets double underhooks and turns McDonald into the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Delbert Grant.
