Ohno preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ohno manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reis manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Reis keeping moving, preventing Ohno from controlling successfully. #SUB# Ohno drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ohno jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ohno advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Ohno wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reis, who protects the arm well. #SUB# Ohno is trying to get an arm triangle but Reis is defending well. #SUB# Ohno is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. #R1##TD2# Reis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Reis working the ground and pound. Reis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barrera wants to control but Reis postures up. A big shot lands for Reis! That's hurt Barrera! Will he recover? Reis fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

#R1##TD2# Reis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Reis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Farmer sneaks back into half guard. Reis throws a strike but Farmer avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Farmer trying to control the position.

Farmer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Reis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Farmer is trying to control the position but Reis postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Farmer is really struggling to control Reis but he's trying to hold on to the position. Reis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Farmer is keen to just control but Reis is a slippery customer. #R1# Nice sprawl there from De Santos as Reis shoots in. No luck for Reis with that takedown attempt. Reis has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by De Santos. De Santos scores with a head kick. Reis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.#KD2# De Santos feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Reis sprawling to the canvas! Reis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can De Santos finish him?!
#ROC2# Reis is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De Santos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Oh Reis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Reis is breathing heavily. Reis is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. De Santos doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Reis crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Reis's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). TJ De Santos! After winning the bout, TJ De Santos thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# Suarez fails with a takedown attempt. Rick Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suarez shoots for a takedown but Reis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.#TD2# Reis shoots in and bounces Suarez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Suarez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Suarez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Reis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suarez won't allow Reis to sweep him here. Reis wants to hit a switch here but Suarez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Reis there! Reis is working to get back to half guard.

#R1##TD2# Riggs gets caught flat footed, as Reis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Riggs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Riggs lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Riggs stops Reis from standing up. #SUB# Riggs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Reis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SU# Riggs gets to his feet. Reis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! #TD2# Reis feints and as Riggs raises his hands in defense, Reis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Riggs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reis manages to get himself to full guard.

Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cox tries to land a sweep but no joy. Reis chips away with some ground and pound. Reis distracts Cox with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#ROC2# Cox is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reis works over Cox with some ground and pound from guard. Oh Cox is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Reis loads up on a big left hand. Cox felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Reis looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Cox can't hide his disappointment, as Reis celebrates the victory.
